Normally my blog is in Japanese but this one I’d like to spread … in the world (Really!?) and hopefully will some impacts on the readers’ daily lives.
In recent years, we often hear the term “Global Warming.” Discussing “Global Warming” would be more controversy than I can handle. So I’d like to focus on “what I can do.”
I lived in a huge apartment complex in Japan. When the neighborhood association (similar to HOA) announced new garbage/recycling collection rules, I was shocked and for sure to bring a new controversy. The new rules were 1) using approved clear garbage bags and 2) the back must have the family name in addition to collection schedule by sorted garbage.

The biggest argument was how we protect our privacy. This was in Japan. Somehow … these new rules were enforced. I know, it would not happen in U.S.A.
Recycle a plastic bottle is another thing. Before placing the plastic bottle, the cap and label need to be removed.

It is almost endless to introduce how Japanese people handle garbage and recycling items, but I am living in U.S.A. What can I do?
